We’re up for an MPA Inspiration Award!

The love for our Strong Manchester Women podcast continues as we’re nominated in the ‘Best Podcast’ category in this year’s coveted MPA Inspiration Awards!
We’re giddy as a kipper that our podcast is nominated alongside some blumming brilliant podcasts like the Crowd Network’s Murder in House Two, Roland Dransfield’s We Built This City (produced by our buddies over at the Presenter Coach) and Sayer Hamilton Ltd’s Tales from the Tannoy.
The MPA Inspiration Award’s hosted by the MPA (Manchester Publicity Association) are a way of recognising the amazing creative talent across Manchester and are a way of inspiring future innovation and creativity. Especially important as we tackle the challenges ahead out of the pandemic and recession.
Inspiration. Collaboration. Celebration. These are the central values of the MPA Awards, distilled from the attitude, style and personality of the city that spawned them.

MIC Media founder Vic Elizabeth Turnbull is over the moon at the MPA Inspiration Award recognition,
“To epitomise our Northern’ness, that runs through the values of MIC and MPA, we are chuffed to bloody bits with our MPA Inspiration Award nomination. Especially alongside some absolutely stellar names in the digital, creative and media world.
But this nomination isn’t about MIC. The nomination is an absolute testament to 14 women that we featured in the Strong Manchester Woman podcast. They are absolute Queens and we hope that this accolade will help to amplify their stories and inspire more girls and women across the world to be bad-ass and strong. Also, it goes without saying a massive thank-you to Manchester City Council and The Pankhurst Trust for commissioning the podcast and trusting us to tell these stories with respect, compassion and authenticity.”

We’ll find out if we’re winners in March. Get those fingers crossed!!
