We are thrilled to announce we will be joined by Olly Mann at our September MIC’s Podcast Club virtual meetup!

This September we return for our 28th MIC’s Podcast Club and will be joined by podcasting legend Olly Mann. This is your chance to ask him any podcast questions that you have been dying to know the answer to.

About Olly

Olly Mann has been a podcaster for over 15 years and currently hosts 6 different podcasts. Including the monthly magazine show ‘The Modern Mann’, current affairs show ‘The Week Unwrapped‘, and daily popular history series ‘The Retrospectors’.

Olly is most well known for his partnership with Helen Zaltzman on the award-winning comedy podcast ‘Answer Me This!‘

During his career, Olly has also worked in radio for the BBC, LBC, Magic, and more.

WHAT IS MIC’S PODCAST CLUB?

MIC’s (virtual) Podcast Club is a space for podcasters to get advice from each other, chew the fat and be amongst your tribe for a couple of hours a month.

The virtual aspect means that YOU CAN COME FROM ANYWHERE!

MIC’s Podcast Club is a free-for-all QnA asked and answered by the community on the night. All designed to help you make awesome podcasts, including the odd special guest!

We’ve covered loads of useful stuff like sponsorship, media coverage, mailing lists, trailers, social media, remote recording, audiograms, microphones, growing your audience, “shortcasts” and rating and reviews. We sometimes have guests in to talk podcasts too, just this year we’ve had Brown Girls Do It Too, Obsessed with…Line of Duty and BBC Sounds.

Podcast Club is a proper helpful and a top place to come as someone that makes podcasts.

In April Leah and Nic from the British Podcast Award nominated podcast the VO Social talked about how small-scale podcasts can get sponsored.
