News MIC launches ‘Now and Men’ with Durham University!
‘Now and Men’ is the latest podcast to roll off the MIC Media production line and this time we took a ‘blended approach’ to working with our clients at Durham University…
Sometimes our clients want to learn about how to make a podcast themselves, but also want to make sure that what they’re launching sounds quality and professional. This is where MIC Media and our blended approach come in.
Over the last few months, we’ve been working with the good eggs in the Department of Sociology at Durham University to help them launch their brand-new podcast ‘Now and Men’. It’s a series that discusses what it’s like to be a man in the 21st century, and how feminist issues are relevant to the lives of men and boys.
MIC delivered a series of real-time, virtual workshops, sessions, and homework (yes!) to get the team to a point where they could record their first interview with their very first guest. Plus, set up their podcast ready for the first episode. We then made them a gorgeous trailer and the episode. The team is now equipped with everything they need to continue to make it themselves!
We were like their best buddy when it came to making their podcast and held their (virtual, sanitised) hand along the way.

Dr. Stephen Burrell from Durham University talks about how we worked with them on the podcast,
