Our Vic named in top 100 women in social…
We’re so excited to reveal that our founder Vic Elizabeth Turnbull has been recognised in this year’s NatWest WISE100, the top 100 women in social enterprise. The list comprises most inspiring and influential women in social enterprise, impact investment and mission-driven business.
Vic started MIC in 2019 with the mission to help good eggs to amplify their voice and stories through quality audio. We specialise in working with social impact organisations, from NGO’s and housing associations to local authorities and charities.
Vic gets out of bed every morning to give the unheard or underrepresented a platform to have their say. Just in the last year, Vic’s led the podcast production and training company to engage over 400 people in podcasting and podcast workshops, including refugees, vulnerable high school kids, neurodiverse young adults, a group of over 60’s and female VCSE leaders.
She also founded MIC’s Podcast Club, one of the largest communities for podcasters in the UK.
Vic’s over the moon to have been recognised as one of the top 100 women in social enterprise, she adds,
I’m chuffed to bits to be included on such an incredible list of amazing women. I started MIC to give everyone the opportunity to amplify their voice through quality podcasts and audio. I hope this accolade can help us to reach more unheard voices.
What makes the WISE100 list so special is that it’s made up of people making a real difference. It’s a roll call of good eggs and I’m so proud to be a part of this.
The WISE 100, in partnership with Pioneers Post was first announced in October 2017, this is the fifth edition of the WISE100 List. Megan Virrels, CEO of NatWest Social & Community Capital, said: “We are so pleased to welcome our 2022 cohort of WISE100 Women and to congratulate them on their place in this year’s list. Against the pandemic backdrop of the past two years, nominations have remained strong, with exceptional times also generating many stories of exceptional leadership.”
A massive well done to all the women on this year’s WISE100.
