Podcast Club history

We created MIC’s Podcast Club in 2018 (originally just called ‘MIC’ – it’s where we got our name) to bring podcasters together in-person. There wasn’t (and still isn’t) a community like this in the UK for podcasters. We started it in late 2018 and throughout 2019 and early 2020 met just in person. Then COVID happened and we went online.

At almost 1,000 members, our virtual meetups have allowed our community to grow with podcasters from across the world – and we will continue to put our virtual events online each month. We think it’s still super important to support podcasters from everywhere. However, there’s something special about people coming together in actual real-life – especially when you have a shared passion – like podcasting! So throughout 2023, we will try and do a few more of these in-person socials, maybe some in different locations too!
