Action Together – Stories of Strength
MIC works with Action Together to train and guide their Women’s Group to produce a podcast full of inspiring Stories of Strength from women across Rochdale in Greater Manchester.
Action Together is a Community Interest Organisation that looks after the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside (in Greater Manchester).
A multi-partner project
We work with Action Together’s Women’s Service Network in Rochdale to support them to produce their own podcast. The network is made up of partners including Cartwheel Arts, Soul Sisters Empowering People, Ukeff, Rochdale Mind, Rochdale Women’s Welfare Association, Rochdale Connection Trust and Rochdale Health Alliance.
Implementing our blended service, We trained and guided the group to get to the stage of launching the podcast; from developing the initial idea and demonstrating how to record great quality audio, to editing and finally getting their first episode live and out there!
The end result is a professional-sounding production, with all the content gathered and recorded by Action Together’s Women Services network. We also worked with ace Community Producer Danielle Porter. She supported the team by turning their conversations into brilliant podcast episodes.
This project is a great example of cross-partner collaboration in the VCSE sector; with organisations working together to create an impactful project that really amplifies unheard voices.
