Our founder Vic Elizabeth Turnbull joins a plethora of industry insiders and experts as she joins the judging panels for some of this year’s industry awards International Women’s Podcast Awards and The Manchester Publicity Association’s (MPA) Inspiration Awards.
MIC founder Vic Elizabeth Turnbull is lending her expertise to two prestigious industry awards this year! Vic joins the judging panels for the International Women’s Podcast Awards (IWPA) and the Manchester Publicity Association’s (MPA) Inspiration Awards.
We’re pleased as punch to reveal that our founder Vic Elizabeth Turnbull has been welcomed once again to help choose the stand-out entries for the 2024 International Women’s Podcast Awards and the MPA Inspiration Awards industry awards. We’re thrilled to see Vic recognised for her dedication to championing creative talent.
The IWPA’s, now in its 4th year, recognises and honours the outstanding contributions made by a huge range of people in the podcasting sector, including those who are self-taught and those from larger, more established audio companies.
Vic joins a panel of diverse judges that comprises podcasters, journalists and experienced professionals. Vic adds,
“I’m excited to celebrate those moments of pure podcasting brilliance. The International Women’s Podcast Awards don’t focus on genre or the number of downloads you’ve got, it’s simply about your content, the moments of beautiful sensitivity, cheek-hurting humour, unique insight or jaw-dropping stories. It’s these moments that keep your listener hooked, binging and coming back for more. Not to mention their commitment to queers and trans inclusivity, which is something I deeply value. This is all why I’m so chuffed to join the judging panel again in 2024.”
The awards happen on June 19th 2024 for more information and how to attend in-person or virtually, head to their website here
From global recognition to celebrating regional talent, The MPA Inspiration Awards celebrates and spotlights the best creative, digital and media from across Greater Manchester.
First staged in 2013, the awards inspire future innovation and creativity and cover a variety of sectors and consist of people-focused awards and specialist categories including Best Podcast and The Martyn Hett Inspiring Manchester award and Freelance Hero.
Vic’s excited at the prospect of reviewing this year’s entries, she adds,
“The MPA Inspiration Awards play a dual role: they elevate Greater Manchester’s reputation as the UK’s leading hub for creative, media, and digital innovation, while also recognising the incredible talent behind that success. That’s why I’m thrilled to be judging this year’s awards.”
The MPA Inspiration Awards are open to organisations and businesses of all sizes. Entries close 17th May 2024, for more information and how to enter, head here.
It’s certainly going to be a busy few months of listening and reviewing lots of brilliant awards entries for Vic for these two industry awards, but she may have time to squeeze a few more in too (she can’t help herself) – watch this space!
