Our Vic joins International Women’s Podcast Awards judging panel
MIC Media founder and CEO Vic Elizabeth Turnbull joins a stellar lineup of judges for this year’s International Women’s Podcast Awards.
The annual awards champion the work of women and non-binary podcasters globally. They celebrate and showcase moments of brilliance across the whole spectrum of podcasts such as moments of comedy gold, dramatic tension or insight from a role model.

Vic explains why she accepted the invitation to get involved in this year’s Awards,
“MIC Media and the International Women’s Podcast Awards share the same ethos of helping level the playing field for often unheard and unsung voices in this exciting and evolving industry. I’m ready to support and collaborate with other folk who are helping to make this happen. I’m so looking forward to hearing lots of brilliant female and non-binary podcast talent from across the world.”

Vic’s in great company too, the other International Women’s Podcast Awards judges include Jocelyn Gonzales – Director of Productions at PRX, Rhea Chedid – Senior Podcast Manager at Spotify, Lauren Passell – founder of Tink Media, Melissa Matanda – PR & Marketing Account Executive at Acast, Sylivie Carlos host and producer at BBC 1Xtra and Coiled podcast and producer, editor and sound engineer Alicia Crawford.
The Award Ceremony
The Award Ceremony is on 29th September 2022 and will be hosted by Deborah Frances White from the hit podcast The Guilty Feminist.
The Awards have also hooked up with Amazon Music and Wondery to offer people who can’t afford a full-price ticket the opportunity to go to the event in person or watch online. There’s more information about that on the Awards website here.
Good luck to all of the nominees and if you didn’t get a chance to enter this year, give yourself a reminder to do it next year!
