Meet Our Founder
Vic Elizabeth Turnbull, CEO & Founder, comes from solid northern roots with no family ties into the media world, carving her own path into audio and podcasting.
She’s passionate about supporting underheard voices and aspiring media professionals to thrive.
Before starting MIC media, Vic held senior roles in social impact organisations, including Fundraising and Marketing Manager at UpRising, and Deputy Director of NOISEfestival.com, Europe’s leading promoter of emerging creative talent. She’s pitched and promoted causes nationally, helping young creatives amplify their talents.
Vic was also the Director of Silent Radio, an independent music website. She hosted their live weekly show for four years, and has international TV credits to her name.
She’s been an honorary Manc for over 20 years, and sports a hybrid Lancashire-Yorkshire Northern accent.
Known for her no-nonsense, encouraging, and people-first approach, Vic brings bags of knowledge and warmth to every project she leads.

Vic leads MIC with passion and expertise. Named one of the Top 100 Women in Social Enterprise, she’s a regular speaker at podcast industry events and a judge for big podcast awards. Vic also founded MIC’s Podcast Club, a global community of podcasters.

Alan
Assistant Producer, Meownager of Mischief
MIC’s fluffiest team member. Alan’s best office skill is getting his bum in most Zoom calls. He’s fuelled by Dreamies and walks across keyboards like he’s closing deals.
We’re currently working through some printer-related performance issues.
Currently in training for Head of IT.
Jamie Green
Producer, Editor
Jamie is a freelance audio producer and engineer who’s worked across a range of MIC projects – from podcast series to creative audio workshops. He also produces weekly music mixes for BBC Sounds, led the creation of a National Lottery Heritage Funded podcast about Manchester’s Mayfield district, and has worked on BBC Radio 6 Music shows including The Craig Charles Show and The People’s Party with Afrodeutsche.
