The Brief
PIE is a social enterprise on a mission to make education fairer and future-ready. They work with schools to support pupils from all backgrounds to build confidence, creativity and transferable skills. MIC is well on board with that.
Together, we’ve teamed up to help young people and teachers across Greater Manchester get stuck into podcasting and start telling their own stories.
What We Delivered
We’ve worked with PIE on a growing mix of podcasting projects over the years, including:
- Online podcast challenges
- Podcast Hack Days where secondary school kids create a podcast in just five hours
- Podcast Missions with pupils, going from zero experience to two full episodes
- Teacher training to help schools set up their own podcast as part of enrichment offers
We’ve designed content specifically for young people, engaging, accessible and age-appropriate. Every MIC trainer is fully DBS-checked and experienced working with schools.
The Impact
From boosting confidence to building teamwork and communication skills, these sessions are sparking new energy in classrooms, and proving that podcasting has a real place in education.
