The Brief
UnLtd is a national charity that finds, funds and supports social entrepreneurs. As part of their Resilient Communities project, they wanted to share the powerful stories of local changemakers from across the UK.
So they brought in MIC to help a group of social entrepreneurs do something they’d never done before – create their very own social entrepreneur podcast series.

What We Delivered
We worked with six brilliant social entrepreneurs – from the Welsh Valleys, Brighton, Stoke, and Dundee – to develop, record and produce a five-part podcast series called Changing Places.
Through our Train, Launch, Learn service, we supported them with:
- Podcast planning and concept development
- Interview and scriptwriting training
- Voiceover support and storytelling guidance
- Scheduling, managing and stitching the whole thing together
The group recorded over 30 separate bits of audio, from interviews and reflections to scene-setting and narration. MIC then professionally produced the full series.
The Impact
Most of the group had never touched a microphone before. But they had powerful stories to tell – about resilience, community, and making a difference in places that are often overlooked.
The result is a professional, heartfelt podcast that showcases voices from across the UK social enterprise scene.
