‘Changing Places’ is a new, 5 part-podcast series made by MIC and a bunch of fabulous social entrepreneurs from UnLtd‘s Resilient Communities programme.
MIC worked with UnLtd for just over three months to create the Changing Places podcast. Using our Train, Learn and Launch service, we combined production and training to guide social entrepreneurs from across the country to produce this five-part series.
The superstar podcasters in Brighton, Brighton, Dundee, South Wales, and North Staffordshire recorded over thirty bits of audio! Most entrepreneurs had zero podcast knowledge, but all had a thirst to share their stories of positive change in their communities.

We then put all this together and in the resulting Changing Places podcast series, you hear from the amazing individuals with lived experiences and local knowledge of the challenges in their communities. Each episode captures a conversation between social entrepreneurs as they share their experiences of running social ventures throughout the pandemic.

It’s been a real joy to work with the team of social entrepreneurs and UnLtd on this ambitious podcast project. Many had never picked up a microphone before, so to make a podcast series in just three months is brilliantly impressive. We’re proud to have been able to help these social impact superstars tell the stories of the incredible, positive change that they’re creating in their communities. It’s such an inspiring series.
