Our Strong Manchester Women Podcast has been nominated for a coveted British Podcast Award in the 2020 accolades! The awards are the biggest and most recognised celebration of podcasts in the country.
Being over the moon doesn’t even cover it. We are proper, proper thrilled! It’s such an honour to be included in such a stellar list of British Podcast Award nominated podcasts from the BBC and The Guardian, podcasts by some of our favourites like Jon blumming Ronson, Fearne Cotton and Sam Walker and alongside some of the podcasts we adore like Dear Joan and Jericha, My Dad Wrote A Porno and the Guilty Feminist!
We are nominated for the Bullseye Award – which celebrates the best podcast under 5,000 listeners. And what makes this super special, is that the shortlisted podcasts for this British Podcast Award, were selected by the judges from across all of the eligible entries they received for the awards.
Now, this nomination isn’t about MIC. The nomination is an absolute testament to 14 women that we featured in the Strong Manchester Woman podcast. They are absolute Queens and we hope that this accolade will help to amplify their stories and inspire more girls and women across the world to be bad-ass and strong.
We’re so proud of the podcast, and it might take a while to peel us off the ceiling. We’ll find out the winners on Saturday 11th July.
A massive congratulations to everyone who’s nominated this year.
